About Me

I started playing games back on AOL around 1997. I was a huge fan of Splatterball which was an AOL only paintball game. However, I didn’t seriously dive into gaming until I started up Ultima Online in that same year. I was absolutely blown away by it. Not knowing what else to do, I took to being a barkeep in a player run city. I roleplayed 100% of the time and had no idea about how combat even worked.

Shortly after I joined up with a Team Fortress Classic clan called STING under the name “Renegade”. We participated in competitive leagues and I got my first taste of eSports before that really took off. We played together for several years, moving on to games like World of Warcraft and Planetside.

Now days, I am a web developer when I’m not streaming. I tend to gravitate towards using javascript, and I’ve used that knowledge to make all sorts of tools for the Beam.pro community.

How old are you?

31 years old. (June 1985)

How long have you been streaming?

I started in December 22nd 2015. I was partnered on Beam in early June 2016 after being denied once.

Why did you start streaming?

Firebottle was originally a Marvel vs Capcom 3 fighting game stream that I ran on Justin.tv. We ran weekly fighting game tournaments in the local area. When local interest for the game was lost the channel went away. I brought it back on Beam years later as a variety stream.

What music do you listen to?

I listen to a ton of synthwave music, but I also listen to a large variety of other stuff. Feeling stress? Why not some jazz? Feeling nostalgic? Let’s go with same game music.

What are your favorite games?

Ultima Online, Mass Effect 2, The Witcher 3, Portal 2, Oxenfree, Dragon Age: Origins

What is something I don’t know about you?

I was on a professional paintball team for about 3 years! We traveled across the midwest and participated in all sorts of events, mainly scenario paintball.

About Faye

Faye is my baby. I’ve had her since around 2010 or so when I started college. She was just a puppy when I got her and I’ve trained her myself. She can give handshakes, sit, roll over, and is one of the smartest animals I’ve ever seen. She current lives with relatives due to apartments not allowing dogs of her size, but I visit every weekend.

When people talk about puppy dog eyes she has a perfect example. In the picture here you can see her begging me to move my parents cat out of her spot.

Around 2015 she tore an ACL while playing catch. She could barely walk and needed to go to the vet for surgery. They ended up replacing a good portion of her knee and leg with metal replacements. After some healing she was back to normal. Though she has some trouble getting around, she still loves to play tug-o-war.

About Stella

Stella is a roborovski hamsters that we picked up in 2016. We brought her home and had Beam chat give her a name. She spends most of her time sleeping, but when she’s out she can be extremely active. She absolutely loves fruit and will climb right up the walls of her cage to get it from your hand faster.

This is actually the first hamster I’ve ever owned and I was not sure what to expect exactly. I definitely didn’t expect them to sleep for as long as they do. Now I just need to find a way to do the same thing.

About Catniss

We picked up Catniss in late 2015. Her favorite thing to do is sit on the couch and keep a very close eye on Stella at all times. You’ll often see Catniss laying around on stream or attacking someone in order to get food quicker.

She absolutely loves to boop you in the face every morning at dawn so that you, her servant, can get her breakfast.

Want to know what I listen to regularly? Well, I listen to a huge selection of different music depending on what I’m feeling like at the time. I go for some jazz or lo-fi hip hop to relax, but normally I love listening to synthwave and game soundtracks. I really jump around quite a bit and don’t associate myself with any one type of genre.

With that said, I’ve put together a spotify playlist that I’ll constantly be adding on to. This playlist is full of some of my favorite songs and you’ll often hear some of this on stream.
